I know I won't use more than 100GB of data storage on the hard drive and the size doesn't matter to me... is it worth $80 to get the more expenseive 2GB memory as opposed to the 1GB memory? Also, the more expensive one has Vista installed on it - but Acer offers a free upgrade to Windows 7 when it becomes available.

Or do you think I'm going the wrong path entirely and should look at a different option? Basically, I need to be able to access the Internet, use Microsoft Office 2007 and a few other minor applications. Any input is appreciated! Thanks!!!I must add that I have a budget of just $400 to work with. The plan is to get a nice desktop in 9 months to a year. I need something to work on that I can afford now.

I got a acer 10.1 aspire one netbook...laptop... from my cousin and i have tryed many wireless internet routers and tried and tried to hook them up but i cant get it t work...actually im trying to hook it up to my main computer...desktop... and i cant seem to get it...i nedd full steps, what kind of router to get, and pleae make the steps easy enough for a 14 year old.i have tried to restart but i havnt looked for a green thing thanks both of youand my mom helps me sometimes, and i told her what u said, but she said we r past that, we have it all set up when we click on internet exlporer the screen just says the windows cannot display page thing. its gettin on my nerves cus i cant figure it out


I just got a acer 10.1 aspire one netbook (laptop thing) and need help with the internet...?
I just got the acer aspire one 10.1" netbook. It only has 1GB of RAM and from what I have read it can only hold up to a max of 2GB of RAM. I know netbooks are best for internet use and not gaming but I am wanting to get an external cd/dvd drive so that I can play games on it like the sims. I'm not sure if this netbook will run games very well though. If not will an external hard drive help run the games on my netbook. If so what kind should I get? Please help me.
