With the unemployment rate now over 10%, when will Obama get serious about jobs and forget Obama Health Care?
Do you think that Obama will deal with our dismal unemployment rate figures by directing ACORN to determine the unemployment rate during the next quarter so Obama can release new unemployment figures reflecting that the unemployment rate has dropped from 10.2 % down to 1.2 % ?

Do you think that Obama will deal with our dismal unemployment rate?
The nation's unemployment rate rose above 10% for the first time since 1983 in October, a much worse jump than expected as employers continued to trim jobs from payrolls.

will actually go?

Lawmakers stressed that the fourth unemployment benefit extension in the past 18 months was necessary because initial signs of economic recovery have not been reflected in the job market.

"The truth is that long-term unemployment remains at its highest rate since we began measuring it in 1948," House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said. About one-third of the 15 million people out of work have gone at least six months without a job.

The bill would provide another 14 weeks of benefits to all out-of-work people who have exhausted their benefits or will do so by the end of the year, estimated at nearly 2 million. Those in states where the jobless rate is 8.5 percent or above get an additional six weeks.

The unemployment rate is now 9.8 percent and economists are predicting that there will be tens of thousands of new job losses as new job market figures are released.

The extra 20 weeks could push the maximum a person in a high unemployment state could receive to 99 weeks, the most in history. Unemployment checks generally are for about $300 a week.

wow that stimulas program sure is developing jobs at the unemployment dept how high do you think unemployment?
We are attending UCs, which cost around $26,000 a year.
Neither of us has a job because there the school is not hiring anyone for work studies, and the 30% unemployment rate makes it difficult as well.

**If we are married without a job, we won't be able to fill out the tax information. Ex) W-2. Is information required to receive financial aid?

The thing is that my father would disown me, because he feels that none of his children should be in a relationship until there 35+ or never. It costs too much to live on-campus. Living with my boyfriend off-campus is much less (there isn't anyone else I know well enough to live with).

Theoretically, would a married couple under the age of 21 be able to received financial aid without a job.?
I will be interviewing for a retail part time/seasonal sale position, but do not want to jeopardize my unemployment benefits. My understanding is that you just have to report the earnings on you claim forms for the weeks you have earnings and then EDD will pro-rate your benefits. Is that correct?

Can you work part time/seasonal work and still receive your unemployment benefits in California?
With tomorrow's Labor Department announcement,Wall Street expects 175,000 more jobs to go missing and the unemployment rate to inch up to 9.9 percent in tomorrow's announcement.

But anyone looking for a job already knows this. The reality is uglier than the stats.

Despite the fact that the Labor Department knows there's a statistical glitch in its figures, it will add about 100,000 to its total because it believes small companies should be -- but probably aren't -- creating jobs.

You can also ignore whether the unemployment rate does or doesn't reach the supposedly psychologically important 10 percent level.

When the government includes people who can only find part-time work but want to be employed full time, the jobless level was already at 17 percent last month.
